Missing the True Scent of Narges
Missing the True Scent of NArges
A series of images being “paused” line up in a scroll or vertical format on roll of mylar creating an open ended narrative that can be read from both sides. These images are mostly uncut, filmic, with a monochrome quality of old photographs and negatives.
“I scrape away from my skin the blood
Cover my whole body with night
And...wonder who am I? Who am i?
What is my name?
Where am I from?
I am far away from home
My memory is fading
My colour is fading
My language is fading
And my faith...myfaith...my faith”
“I am too old for fantasy
I am too fragile for reality
Hardly remembering the true scent of Narges”
